In 2025, the Foundation conducted a mentorship program for students, providing guidance, life skills, and positive values. As part of the initiative, we also distributed sanitary towels to support girls’ health and school attendance.
Homabay marked the International Day of Girl Child as many gender activists called for more sensitization on menstrual hygiene among adolescents. The calls came following concerns that some adolescent girls are not familiar with ways of using sanitary towels to keep their menstrual hygiene.
Chief Ajwang Foundation recently intensified its mentorship program, distributing sanitary towels to secondary school girls in Suba North ahead of national exams. This initiative aims to help girls focus on their studies while addressing challenges such as teen pregnancies and protecting their rights.

In 2025, Chief Damianus Ajwang Foundation, in partnership with Dr. William Okang’a, the Diaspora Team “Smile” Tiberius Kajwang’, Dr. Abiola Ben, Kajwang’ Foundation, and the Department of Health – Homabay County, successfully hosted a 5-day medical camp in Suba North. The initiative provided essential healthcare services to the community, reaching 1,006 patients and offering consultations, screenings, and referrals to ensure access to quality care for those in need.
